exciting milestones + choosing abundance
new workshop on Wednesday 8/14 at 4pm PST
Hello to the 1,228 hotties who subscribe to this newsletter! Thank you for being here for this short & sweet newsletter.
First, I wanna share a major accomplishment with you.
I just wrapped up two 6-month group coaching programs — one focused on debt repayment and another focused on savings. Five clients in the debt repayment group paid off a total of $9,770 worth of debt! And seven clients in the savings group saved a total of $13,762 over the last six months!
Together, that’s a total of $23,532 in queer & trans people’s pockets!!!
Beyond the numbers, my clients also named these achievements:
Saving consistently regardless of the amount, without withdrawing from their savings account
Talking to themselves with kindness and gentleness when they strayed from their spending plan — whether it was out of impulsiveness or circumstances outside of their control
Setting up a way to organize and track their spending that works best for their neurodivergent brains
Feeling affirmed and empowered instead of avoidant and afraid of looking at their finances.
🥹🥹🥹 I’m so proud and honored to be doing this work!! If you’re one of the people from my group coaching programs, thank you for trusting me! And if you’ve read my work and applied some of what you’ve learned here, thank you for letting me be a part of your financial journey, too!
My next round of group coaching will run from October ‘24 to March ‘25. I’m designing it to support you through some of the toughest financial seasons: binge spending during the holidays, manic financial restricting after New Year’s, and tax season. Registration will open in late August, but you can sign up for the waitlist here.
I’m also still accepting 1:1 clients, including people interested in 3-month or 6-month programs. You’re also welcome to sign up for the sliding scale waitlist here.
Next, I want to invite you to a workshop on Wednesday, August 14 at 4pm PST. It’s called Choosing Abundance, and I’m co-teaching the workshop with my friend Sand Chang, PhD, psychologist and DEI consultant at Queer & Trans Internal Family Systems (QTIFS).
Internal Family Systems (IFS) in a nutshell: IFS is an approach to psychotherapy that addresses multiple sub-personalities or families we’ve internalized.
For example, there’s a very Virgo part of me that militantly tracks my spending, and there’s another Sagittarius part of me that just wants to say “Fuck it!” and splurge on last-minute plane tickets. These parts conflict with each other when I make money decisions, and there are strategies I use to trust my intuition despite these internal conflicts.
During the workshop, we’ll talk about the fact that we all have capitalist parts because we’ve internalized capitalism to some degree — and these parts are not “bad” parts! We’ll also discuss how to stay connected with ourselves when dealing with money and aligning money behaviors with your values.
Tickets cost $77 with limited sliding scale spots that cost $33 and $55.
